Ceras Victoria (Honda Prelude), Headlight Swap

As seen in the other photos Ceras Victoria had suffered damaged.
To make her street legal I needed a working headlight.
This is the install.

Damage visible on the passenger side (left).
Taking things apart...

Requisite parts off.
Bumper cover, battery, turn signal, and bumper.

Bent metal meant this was fun...

So, I get it all mounted up, try to put the bumper on, and find out the bumper will not fit due to one of the support legs of the headlight.
This leads to...

Initially I tried cutting and filing the plastic.
Turns out soldering iron was much quicker and more precise.
Glad I did this outside though, it did not smell good.

Mangled, maybe? But it now fit...

This is just for reference so you can tell what all that burnt plastic was supposed to look like...

And it fits!
Also, it was good to have flood lights for when car work ran late at night.

All assembled, it's an ugly mug, but it works.

One would think it would go a lot faster once you've done it before, and it kind of did.
Then you find out you need to burn off plastic and all time saving gets flushed down the toilet.
But hey, working lights are working lights!
