C-Quartz Reapplication; Photography / Photo Shoot Information (Part 2)

We decided to follow up our midnight parking garage photo shoot with a daytime one. Recap: C-Quartz reapplication after two years by Arlington Auto Detailing, car super clean, and we decided to take some photos.
Because we had bright sunlight I decided to do these photos in a different way. For the majority of the photos I took them fixed at 100 ISO and then overexposed, at middle white balance, and underexposed.

C-Quartz Review & Reapplication; Photography / Photo Shoot Information

It has been over two years since we first did a C-Quartz application, which is the expected life time. We had Arlington Auto Detailing do a full detail, including removing the shallow swirl we had acquired, and reapply C-Quartz. Arlington Auto Detailing has been my go to shop for my bi-annual auto details since moving up to the Boston area.

In terms of two year satisfaction with C-Quartz: I am happy, it makes it really easy to keep the car clean and makes a lot of things that would otherwise damage the clear coat just wipe off without caring. At the same time it does not protect against small rock chips at all. In the future (any new car and/or repaint of a car) I would do a full PPF wrap with a ceramic coating on top to get the best of both rock ship / minor scratch protection and easy to clean paint / film protection.

That all said, with the car looking rather clean and pretty and my building having a parking garage as part of its complex I decided to do a midnight parking garage photo shoot.

Wash & C-Quartz Maintenance - Arlington Auto Detailing

I brought my car to Arlington Auto Detailing after towing my car behind an International diesel truck rented from Penske. This truck put out a phenomenal amount of diesel soot and completely coated the car.

They did a great job.

I picked them because when I was calling various detailers in the area none of them had experience with C-Quartz, that responded in a prompt manner. And since my car was previously coated this experience was paramount.

I plan to go again the next time I need a car wash or the next time my car needs a refresh of the C-Quartz. (Unfortunately I did not take pictures.)

Paint Correction and C-Quartz by First Coast Auto Detailing

I brought my car to Jason at First Coast Auto Detailing because another detailer introduced new scratches and swirl into my car’s clear coat.
Jason did a phenomenal job. When he was done the car had no swirl and a very clean clear coat. I also had the car coated with C-Quartz, which at over a month now (service completed on 06/09/2017) is holding up very well. Using the C-Quartz spot detailer, properly diluted, wipes dirt and grime right off leaving a nice shine.
Honestly, I wish I had done the C-Quartz sooner. I am not sure that it would have prevented the rock chips that I find most disappointing (but my car is a 2014, so I did this rather late in the game).
Another great service that Jason offers is that he can / will garage your car in his garage (if needed) in order to make sure that the C-Quartz properly cures. This is importance especially if you do not have your own garage. Other detailers in the area that I consulted in the area who also do ceramic coatings (C-Quartz, Opticoat, etc.) did not have a garage of their own for curing (and were charging more for the service).
I would definitely recommend First Coast Auto Detailing and Jason for your paint correction, car cleaning, and ceramic coating needs. (Unfortunately I did not take any photos.)

I had the car detailed by On-Site Detailing.
James Church took care of the detailing for me and was both very quick and extremely thorough and did a great job. I would use them again.

My wife took the car on a trip and parked it in a rather wet and muddy place.

Today I had my car go in for a full detail at The Studio which is part of the RDS Auto Group who are Porsche, Maserati, and McLaren dealers in the Philadelphia area. They also do Xpel Ultimate clear bras.

But today I just brought in the car for a full detail and to have some of the paint / clear coat swirl cleaned up by a good compound and buff / wax.
