Safety Equipment - Bell Helmets M.8

The Nausicaa, 1993 Honda Prelude, track car project is continuing. We decided we would like to go for some Autocross (AutoX) and / or High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) events to work on the most important modification, the driver mod.
We signed up for an AutoX event with Cagalli Yula, 2014 Subaru BRZ, and decided now was a good time to invest in helmets.
Based off of recommendation of a friend who spends a lot of time doing track days I was looking at Simpson and Bell Helmets.
We elected to go with the Bell Helmets M.8 because of relative cost, Snell SA2015 homologation, M6 terminals (for later use with a Head And Neck Support [HANS] device), and availability in sizes small enough for my spouse's head.
We bought them from Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies because I have dealt with them on pre-sale before and figured that if we got the wrong sizes and needed to ship them back they would have very good customer service. Pegasus was very helpful when doing our research regarding the AiM Data Logger for our project.
The helmets fit well; we followed the measuring guidelines prior to purchase. It does get a bit hot in there. And putting on glasses is easy for my spouse and getting easier for me.
Per standard safety equipment recommendations these should be good for ~5 years. The main concern in terms of lifetime is the resins and / or glues used. Otherwise all helmets are single use (i.e. one crash and done).

At some point I may get a bit nicer bag for protecting the helmet and future HANS device.
