I delayed taking these photos for a while. Over our Thanksgiving 2019 trip someone hit and ran our car taking a chunk out of the driver side corner of the bumper and left some nasty scratches. We finally got around to having the bumper repaired and ceramic coated only recently.
The wheels were ceramic coated (at least three coats) at Arlington Auto Detailing. This has made wiping off brake dust really easy.
Also, I am not in love with where the balancing weights were put when the wheels were balanced and put on the car. Apparently these can sometimes be hidden behind the spokes. Still, really like the wheel design.
Spouse wiped down the outside of the car to get rid of water spots from the rain. We use a diluted SiO2 concentrate and microfiber cloths.
In terms of the tires, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S at 245/40ZR17 are fantastically and have significantly increased dry and wet grip over our old Continental Extreme Contact DWS (all season tires) we had for the first 5+ years.
One of the problems we have had is with COVID-19 and cancellation / not working sign ups for autocross events (and HPDE for beginners effectively cancelled because we cannot have anyone not in our family unit share the car with us for instruction) we have not yet had a safe environment to learn the limits of these tires. (Privileged problem, I am aware.)
So... we are really looking forward to learning the limits of these tires and therefore the new limits for car.
Also, if unclear, the old wheels are being stored with snow tires mounted. My parents live a reasonable distance away and have offered us garage space to store the wheels and tires.
