Today I got closer to a milestone in the current phase of our 1993 Honda Prelude project, Nausicaa.
I ordered the vast remainder of the parts that we are planning to do at this phase. All that is really left outstanding is the dashboard instruments and coilovers to be added (though Bryan Hise at Olsen Motorsports has been taking measurements and getting CAD work done for our one off JRZ coilovers).
The parts ordered today cover a lot of ground. Again, not pictures at this point as parts were ordered and none have been delivered.
Iron Canyon Motorsports:
1) ICM Fuel Sender
Options:
A) Binder 719 - for the AiM system
B) Custom Range:
i) Empty 16-32 ohms
ii) 1/2 116-188 ohms
iii) Full 239-314 ohms
Listed Price: $119.00
Because we are going to use a AiM data logger dash this is necessary to have it properly display our fuel level.
K-Tuned:
1) Race-Spec Billet RSX Shifter
Options:
A) Billet Knob - Blue
B) Race-Spec Shifter Cables w/ Trans Brackets
C) Billet Shift Stops
Part No. KTD-RSX-PRO
List Price: $1089.95
This is a work of art and I am genuinely worried it is going to ruin Cagalli Yula's shifter for me. It is also very functional and should fully support our future engine and transmission plans.
2) 4-1 K-Swap Race Header Polished 304 Stainless Steel
Options:
A) Engine Type: K24
B) 3 Bolt Exhaust Flange
Part No. KRH-41-500
List Price: $497.97
Originally I was looking at a header from DC Sports but decided to go with something higher quality and better for current and future power plans.
3) Universal A/C & P/S Eliminator Kit
Part No. KP-UNV-400
List Price: $219.99
This project will have neither power steering nor air conditioning when we are done. I watched a Smoking Tire Review with Matt Farah where someone had the power steering pump removed and the hoses just running to a fluid reservoir, this is the route we are going. There are no manual steering racks made for the Prelude. Therefore we decided this route should be a nice compromise.
Summit Racing:
1) Canton Racing Oil Cooler Kits
Part No. 22-728
List Price: $341.00
I did a lot of oil cooler research and decided this would be the best option.
I will provide more updates as we have them.
