Nausicaa - Project Update - Images from 4K Automotive Solutions (2nd Set)

The wrap has two layers. There is a white base layer. Over that layer there is a transparent layer that provides the metallic purple pearl.

Due to how thick this makes the wrap it makes some of the seams a little interesting. If the wrap were thinner we would expect the seams to be invisible.

One of the benefits of the thicker wrap is it should hold up to track abuse and rocks well.
The interior of the doors show the original car color.
We had the door jams wrapped.
While wrapping some of the primer came off in some of the more complicated places of body work. They have an adhesive they can use with the wrap to get it to stick.
This would not have been an issue if we had the car full painted and sealed. But because of our use case we just want it wrapped, we did not want to spend the extra to paint it at this time.
Apparently the shop was not given some of the rubber weather stripping, so hopefully it exists somewhere.

Just about finished with the exterior work. Next up should be engine going back in, suspension being finished, and tuning.

The total cost of labor and material on the wrap was $4,000.

  1. Wow. It's really looking up! I would never recognize it from the car we had sitting in our backyard.
